My Favorite Places In Nashville

Nashville is one of my favorite cities and very time I come, I find something new and exciting.  The restaurants are amazing and the shopping is just as amazing!  My daughter Sarah lives about an hour from Nashville and she wanted to have her bridal portraits done in Nashville, so I came with my friend and photographer Sara-Anne so she could have her pictures done here.  I also decided it would be fun to make a video about my favorite places in Nashville!  We drove the 7 hours here on Tuesday because I had to bring Sarah's wedding dress...needless to say we were tired!

We had dinner at a great place called The Treehouse on Tuesday night with Sarah and her husband Will.  I didn't get any good pictures because it was dark, but the food was farm to table and delicious!  I would recommend eating there for a casual fun meal.

We hit the ground running on Tuesday morning.  We decided to start off in The Gulch, which is the neighborhood where our hotel is.  We discovered this mural, so of course stopped for the first picture of the day!  There are so many murals in Nashville that I could do a blog post just on those!

We stayed at The Westin Hotel in Nashville.  The hotel opened about a year ago and has a rooftop bar with an infinity pool as well as just about every other amenity you could imagine.  This very fabulous round bench in the lobby is the perfect place for pictures!

The next stop was lunch at Little Octopus!  Little Octopus is truly one of my favorite restaurants ever.  The food is Latin and Caribbean fusion and served tapas style!  I had goat for the first time in my life and loved it.  It was prepared like barbecue and served with gnocchi.  I think it's one of the best places to eat in the city!

We also ate mango salad with garbanzo beans and beet and watermelon salad.  The presentation is beautiful and the food is delicious.

Also in The Gulch is my favorite boutique, Parish Nashville.  The trip wouldn't be complete with a little shopping there. Parish is owned by celebrity stylist, Claudia Robertson Fowler.  The clothes and accessories are very well edited and the boutique is perfectly styled.  I found this shimmery tank that is a piece I'll wear now and through the holidays.

Another one of my favorite neighborhoods in Nashville is 12 South.  This great mural is outside of Draper James and is must have photo.

I've blogged about Jeni's Ice Cream before...I can't get enough of this ice cream and there are so many flavors to choose from that it's always hard to decide.

Next up was the pumpkin patch!  It looked like fall but with the temperature hovering around 90 degrees, but it certainly didn't feel like fall.

Dolly Parton has a complex right in the middle of the 12 South neighborhood.  I wanted to climb the wall and go in for a visit!

The temperature finally dropped and we ended the day with drinks at the LA Jackson which is the rooftop bar at the Thompson Hotel.  It really was the perfect evening!  We are going back tonight with Sarah and Will for pictures and I'm sure that when we walk in with her in a wedding dress we will attract some attention!  If you are in Nashville, it's a beautiful place to watch the sunset!

We're off to meet Sarah for Lunch and some birthday shopping.  She will turn 21 on October 1.  I can't believe that my baby is married and turning 21, and I'm so happy to be spending this time with her!

I'm wearing an off-the-shoulder top by Misa Los Angeles (similar here) with my Citizens of Humanity Jeans (love these) and Chloe shoes.  I'm linking a few similar items below.

I'll be posting on Instagram all day, so be sure to check in!  Have a great day!
