What to Wear to a 2 Year Old's Birthday Party

Yesterday was Hudson's birthday party and the last celebration of the week!  Lauren, Sarah and I started the day getting blow outs at Dry Bar and had lunch at Bantam and Biddy at Avalon.  After, we came back and got ready for the Elmo themed party.  Lauren made Elmo cupcakes, and there was fruit, hummus, cheese and a giant Elmo balloon.  The kids jumped in the bouncy house and had so much fun!  After the party was over, we all piled in the car and had some great Mexican food.  It was a great day and I know Hudson had so much fun.

It is still hot here and I decided to wear a cute mustard colored top from Loft.  I love finding great, trendy and inexpensive tops from Loft and pairing them with things I already have.  Mustard is trending for fall and looks good on most people and I paired this top with cream colored jeans (black jeans would also be great) from Citizens of Humanity (mine are from last season, but these are similar) and my Rag and Bone booties.  My outfit took me from a blow out in the morning to Mexican food for dinner!

We had mimosas, really yummy watermelon salad and Lauren and Sarah had chicken fingers.  The great thing about Avalon is that you can walk around with your mimosa and shop!

Avalon is one of my favorite places to shop here in Atlanta, but, I have so much more exploring to do, especially in Buckhead and I'm excited to come back soon!

The cupcakes were made with oreo halves for the mouth, peanut M & M's for the nose and candy melts for the eyes.  Just in case you ever want to make Elmo cupcakes, you can get the recipe here.
