Deviled Eggs, Homemade Pimento Cheese and the Best Bloody Mary!

A few days ago, my daughter sent me a Pinterest picture of pickled okra stuffed with pimento cheese and I haven't been able to get it off my mind.  I love pickled okra (a lot) and I love pimento cheese.  I decided to make some pimento cheese and one thing led to another and before I knew it, I was making deviled eggs and Bloody Marys to go with the whole thing.  Mix and match the pickled okra with the deviled eggs, the bloody marys and the pimento cheese!  It all goes well together!  Also, feel free to add any veggies or other pickles to your platters.  Please don't judge me for serving the pimento cheese with Ritz crackers...the combination is so delicious.  Alternately, you could use a fancy cracker or make your own homemade cornbread, but I'll stick with my Ritz!

This very Southern spread would be the perfect beginning to a delicious brunch or a great addition to any tailgate.  I hope you enjoy!

Recipe

If you're not from the South and didn't grow up eating pimento cheese, I encourage you to try this recipe!  It might just become one of your favorite things.  It's great for sandwiches, stirred into grits (another Southern favorite), stuffed in celery boats, or spread on a (Ritz) cracker.
