All About Art Gallery - Bald Head Island

All About Art Gallery is a tiny treasure on Bald Head Island.  Owned by Joyce Nelson and Sue Prendergast, the gallery features "some of the region's top artists, acclaimed national artisans, and noted international artists".  In addition to being an art gallery, All About Art offers art classes, workshops, and events.  The art classes are available for children and adults and are taught by skilled artists from different mediums.  Any visit to the island should include a visit to All About Art!

One of my favorite featured artists is Wilmington artist, Barb Scalia.  I was fortunate to meet Barb at an event the gallery had several years ago.  Her folk art is colorful and inspiring!  My wish list definitely includes a painting by Barb!  I was also fortunate to meet artist, Jan Triplett during my visit to Bald Head this year.  Jan is a full time resident of Bald Head and her art is also featured in the gallery.

This picture of Britt and I in front of All About Art was taken at a book signing that we attended this past week.  The book was Cleome's September by Linda Blake Scott.  Linda was there signing books and had made several recipes that are included in her novel that is partially set on Bald Head Island.
