Bald Head Island Travel Diary

On this Island, it seems that time stops and total relaxation is possible.  It feels like we haven't done very much other than relax but looking back we've done so many things.  One sad moment was having to take Rebecca to the airport on Sunday.  She was the last of the girls to leave and we decided to take the ferry over to Southport and eat at Yacht Basin Provision Company with her and then drive to the Wilmington Airport.

Two of my friends came yesterday and we spent the day by the pool (maybe drinking margaritas), went to a book signing at All About Art, had a fabulous and delicious dinner at the Bald Head Island Club with our friend Cindy and just enjoyed time with each other.  It was a great day!  I'm sharing my Travel Diary today and I hope you enjoy this post!

Having fun on the ferry going over to Southport!

Again with the margaritas at the Provision Company.  If you haven't been to Provision Company to eat, you are missing out!  They have the ABSOLUTE best peel and-eat steamed shrimp and the conch fritters are another favorite!

I took this picture of a beautiful sailboat from the ferry.

These pictures are from last night!  We really had a great time!

The food at the Bald Head Island Club last night was absolutely delicious and beautiful.  The picture on the right is watermelon gazpacho with crabmeat!  I had been craving some fresh crabmeat and this really satisfied my craving.

I got this Eugenia Kim hat and Beach People beach towel last hear and I still love them both.  The hat really keeps the sun off of my face and it looks great at the same time!  My black bathing suit is Tory Burch from last year.

I couldn't resist sharing just one more picture of Hudson on the porch at our house.  I'm wearing one of my favorite boho tops from Island Passage.  It's by Lovestitch and they have so many cute things!

I'm going to do a post later this week on our little treasure of an art gallery here on Bald Head Island.  It's called All About Art and last night they hosted a book signing for Linda Blake Scott.  Linda's first novel is called Cleome's September and it's partly set on Bald Head Island.  What made last night even more fun is that Linda is from Burlington!  It was great talking to her and getting a signed copy of the book!  I can't wait to start reading it on the beach today!

I took this picture yesterday while I was sitting on the porch.  There are so many beautiful butterflies on the island!

Scenes from the harbor in the evening.

My friend and Cabi Stylist, Michelle Terry, gave me this beautiful Cabi scarf and it makes a great sarong.

I am going to miss these sunsets when I get home but I'm going to try to stop more often and go outside to look at the sunset.  It's so important to appreciate moments like this and they happen every day!

It's back to reality soon and I'm so grateful for the time I've had here on Bald Head Island and the family and friends who have shared this time with me!  Thanks so much for reading and remember to follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelifeblog!

I'm including some links for shopping this post!  Have a great day!
