8 Cookbooks That Will Make Great Christmas Gifts
It's no secret that I love to cook and I love cookbooks! My collection is huge and I can't seem to stop buying more! It was hard to choose my favorites, but I think there is something for everyone on this list. I really could have spent all day, and come up with 20 more, but this is a good start! Cookbooks make great Christmas gifts and I've included two on this list that I don't own for anyone reading who might want to buy me a gift!
A Year In a Vegetarian Kitchen by Jack Bishop - I've had this cookbook for many years and it's one of my all time favorites! I've made most of the recipes over the (at least) 15 years that I've owned it, and they've all been absolutely delicious!
Deep Run Roots - This cookbook was a gift from my sister last Christmas. The recipes in Deep Run Roots are truly Southern, not the deep fried, dumbed down "southern" recipes that we see so often...it truly celebrates the rich tradition of Southern Food. Vivian Howard's recipes are amazing and the cookbook reads like a novel. I highly recommend this cookbook for anyone that loves healthy, seasonal and delicious food!
Cooking For Jeffrey by Ina Garten - I have every single cookbook that Ina Garten has published and love them all, but Cooking For Jeffrey is probably my favorite. The recipes are straightforward, not too complicated and always showstoppers. One of my favorites from this cookbook is the Zucchini and Leek Frittata.
Tender ~ A Cook and His Vegetable Patch - I bought this cookbook several years ago and it quickly became a go to for me! The chapters showcase 29 of Slaters favorite vegetables and this book is as much fun to read as it is to cook from!
My Paris Kitchen by David Lebovitz - This beautiful cookbook is worth having for the photography alone, but the recipes are ones you'll want to make over and over again. Give this book to a friend who has a passion for French food.
Smitten Kitchen by Deb Perelman - My go-to cookbook for times when I want something healthy, delicious and beautiful. The recipes are approachable and never disappoint. This book is for the home cook who loves to impress!
Cook Beautiful by Athena Calderone - Cook Beautiful is on my Christmas wish list! I have been following Athena Calderone's blog, Eye Swoon, for several years and it's one that I check almost every day. Her recipes are amazing and the photography on the blog is so beautiful. I can't wait to get this cookbook!
Half Baked Harvest by Tieghan Gerard - This is another cookbook that is on my Christmas wishlist! Another blogger turned cookbook author, Tieghan Gerard, started her fabulous blog Half Baked Harvest when she was only 15 years old. I have made so many of the recipes from her blog and I know without a doubt that this cookbook will be amazing!
Clean Slate - This book is part guide to healthy eating and part cookbook with amazing and ultra healthy recipes. Buy this book for anyone who is looking to clean up their diet while still eating delicious food. Perfect for after the holidays!
