Carolina Football

Yesterday was such a beautiful day for a Carolina football game, or so we thought!  We knew it was supposed to be windy later in the day, but we didn't anticipate how cold it would be by the end of the game!  I thought that I was dressed appropriately with my heavy sweater and Carolina blue scarf, but by the end of the evening, we were freezing!  Sarah and her roommate Kiely went with us to the Carolina game and after we had a really delicious dinner at 411 West in Chapel Hill

I am in full on Thanksgiving mode at this point and have been challenged by my friend to a Smoked Gouda Mashed Potato competition!  I will be busy tweaking my recipe because we will be judged on Thanksgiving Day!  It's all in good fun, but be assured that I plan to win, even without the so called ritual dance that is evidently necessary to make the potatoes good (haha)!  I'll post the new recipe after Thanksgiving!

I love this great scarf for Carolina football games!  Normally it would have provided the perfect amount of warmth, but what we really needed yesterday was a wool lined windbreaker!

This picture was taken before the wind gave me the windblown look!

This picture was definitely taken after the wind got me!  Mr. Crazy doesn't really have to worry about his hair!

Sarah and Kiely inside the Blue Zone in Kenan Stadium.  It was so nice to be able to come in and get out of the wind yesterday!

I'm so excited for everyone to be home this week for Thanksgiving!  Sarah gets in Tuesday and I am picking Rebecca up at the airport on Tuesday also.  We are looking forward to spending some time with family and eating!

We always get our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, but this year, there will be another Carolina football game on Friday and we are all going!  Hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative!

I hope everyone has a great week and be sure to check back on the blog as I share recipes, fashion and so much more!  Also, follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelifeblog!
