The Best Anniversary Weekend in Asheville North Carolina at the Grand Bohemian Hotel
Mr. Crazy and I went to Asheville over the weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! We stayed at the Grand Bohemian right at the entrance to The Biltmore Estate! The Grand Bohemian in Asheville is built to look like a grand rustic hunting lodge! There is a huge fireplace right in the center of the lobby and everyday we were greeted with hot cider in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon!
The weather was unseasonably warm so there was no need for coats, it was 85 degrees yesterday! We had a wonderful time walking around downtown Asheville and of course, eating! I'm sure that my jeans will be tight tomorrow, but it was worth it! We also decided to go to the fabulous Biltmore Estate in Asheville because we knew that it would be spectacular this time of year! They were starting to decorate for Christmas and I would love to come back and have a candle light tour over the holidays! I never get tired of seeing the beautiful Biltmore mansion!
As we speak, I'm sitting in the fabulous bed pictured below, typing. We're off to brunch soon before heading home to get ready for Halloween with Baby Hudson tomorrow!
You can see the huge fireplace in the center of the lobby! I hope we can come back when the weather is more seasonable! A fire isn't the best thing when it's 85 degrees outside!
I'm wearing one of my favorite new Joie blouses for fall! This color is so popular right now and it's perfect for a fall weekend. I made a friend while I was sitting by the fire!
The chandeliers in the Grand Bohemian are spectacular!
On Friday night we ate at Table in downtown Asheville! The food was beyond spectacular! Table has a bar on the second floor and the restaurant features an open kitchen and bar! I remembered to take pictures in the beginning, but as soon as our entrees came out I was so excited about the food that I totally forgot I even had my camera! Take my word for it, the food is delicious!
I'm not sure if you can tell, but the oyster shells are empty! They brought delicious bread and olives when we sat down!
The huge doors to the Grand Bohemian in Asheville decorated for fall!
This was my healthy breakfast on Saturday morning, oatmeal with blueberries, dried cranberries and pecans! It seems like all we did was eat!
We had so much fun walking around in downtown Asheville, but it was hot!
These Pubcycles were everywhere and looked like a lot of fun!
We loved the live music on the street corners!
Lunch at Modesto in downtown Asheville.
Pasta Puttanesca
Wood fired grilled octopus
Beet Salad with goat cheese (that was mine)!
This beautiful picture was taken on one of the many verandas atBiltmore Estate!
The beautiful gardens!
The chrysanthemums were spectacular!
I took this picture at the top of the main staircase at Biltmore!
Driving through the grounds at the Biltmore Estate is one of my favorite things to do! Biltmore has a working farm and a winery (we didn't make it there)!
I took a picture of this cow for Rebecca (she loves cows). He didn't seem to mind too much!
I hope you all are having a great weekend! I'm looking forward to Halloween tomorrow; there will be lots of pictures on the blog of Hudson dressed in his costume! Follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelifeblog for more pictures of Asheville!
