MAKING GREAT MEMORIES...

I try to blog everyday but yesterday was a little hectic and I just couldn't get it done so today's post is a long one.  We have tried to make the most of every moment since we've been here and make great memories of this first summer of Hudson's life!  These past couple of weeks here at Bald Head have been just what a vacation should be...a time to regroup, relax and refresh!  We have focused on being together, eating great food and having fun!  I have said it before, but this blog has become a journal of my life and I enjoy sharing good times, recipes, fashion and things and places that I love and that inspire me!  I hope you enjoy too!

I was so sad that Lauren, Chris and Hudson had to leave yesterday and this morning seems really quiet after all of the activity over the past week!

Here we are at the Sandpiper Ice Cream shop getting ice cream with Hudson for the first time.  It was a little messy, but very tasty!  It's so special to be able to watch him have all of his "firsts"!

We've spent a lot of time on the porch reading, watching the birds and talking!  I'm wearing a fun little dress by Misa Los Angeles (similar here and great for fall) that I purchased at Rebecca & Co. in Greensboro in these pictures and my favorite Draper James hat.  The sandals are Joie from Mynt Boutique.

Everyone drives a golf cart on Bald Head Island which to me is part of the charm of the Island.

Rebecca's dress is Free People from two seasons ago, but this one is similar.

We had more margaritas and a Moscow Mule at Mojo's...the margaritas there are made with freshly squeezed juice are sooo good!

Last night Mr. Crazy and I took the ferry over to Southport and had dinner at Live Oak Cafe with friends.  Live Oak Cafe is a charming little restaurant in a turn of the century house with only 12 tables. They also have a wine garden and a screened in porch.  Our food was delicious!!  I wore this fun and flirty little dress from Anthropologie, I love the vibrant tangerine color and the the flattering halter.  I didn't take my camera to dinner, but we had such a fun night.  We started out at Old American Fish Company which is a bar right on the water in Southport with beautiful views.  It has such an odd name because they don't serve any food!  Next time we're in Southport, I want to go there and watch the sun set, I'm sure it will be spectacular!
