SOME FOOD AND SOME FUN!

Today I'm sharing a few pictures of the meals we've cooked as well as a great boho blouse purchased at Mynt Boutique and my favorite bathing suit cover up!  We love to cook at Bald Head and sit on the porch and have long dinners and great conversation.

The first meal that I cooked when we arrived was a very simple Grilled Shrimp Salad with Garlic Vinaigrette!  It was quick but delicious!

It is a tradition for our family to have burittos at the beach.  This time, I added grilled chicken to the black beans and rice and we topped them with sour cream, salsa, tomatoes and avocado.  The next day, I made quesadillas with the leftover chicken and black mixture.

For breakfast yesterday morning, I made French Toast with Caramelized Bananas and we made mimosas to go with it.  The French Toast recipe is from one of my favorite cookbooks, Feasting on Bald Head.

After brunch we headed to the pool!  It was a beautiful day and I wore my favorite cover up from Everything But Water!  They have the cutest swimsuits and coverups!  This one is thin and breezy and goes with almost any swim suit I have!

I decided to have cocktail hour on the porch some cheese and crackers, nuts and olives.  The fantastic champagne flutes and stemless wine glasses were purchased at Room Service on Bald Head.

We went out to take these pictures and it was beginning to get dark and we knew a storm was coming!  It was only about 6:00 pm but it looks so dark!  I wanted to take the pictures in front of this spectacular live oak that is very close to our house.   I am wearing a great boho blouse from Rebecca Taylor (similar here and on sale) with denim shorts that I've had for years and sandals by Rebecca Minkoff.

Last night's dinner was my favorite!  It was a Warm Bean Salad with Buratta Cheese, Radicchio, Basil and Crispy Pancetta!  The best meals are sometimes the easiest ones to prepare.  We paired the salad with a Rose from Provence called Rose De Printemps and it was perfection!

We've been having a great time here at Bald Head and I'm sure it appears that we don't do too much other than eat!  We do enjoy cooking and eating good food!

Our time seems to be going by so quickly, but it always does when we're here!  Check back for more fashion, food and fun and follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelife blog!
