SIGHTSEEING, FATHER'S DAY BRUNCH, DINNER, PICTURES AND A RED BATHING SUIT!

We are so sad to be leaving Bald Head Island tomorrow!  I have loved sharing our time here on my blog and I hope you've enjoyed reading about it!  Our last day was a beautiful one!  The weather has been absolutely perfect for the past couple of days...the humidity has been low and the sun has been out!  We couldn't have asked for a better week!  This is a long post, so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!  Also, check out my "By the Ocean" Pinterest board to see all things beachy from drinks to decor to fashion!

We started off this morning with a Father's Day Brunch!  We having been making Bloody Mary's and Golden Rod Eggs at Bald Head for as long as I can remember and this trip was no exception!  We started off with the Bloody Mary's including celery and the best pickled okra!  We always use Zing Zang for the Bloody Mary Mix because it has just the right amount of spice!

I made a fruit platter to go with the Golden Rod Eggs and we are still nibbling on it!

Golden Rod Eggs are made by spooning hot white sauce with chopped egg whites over toasted English Muffins with the yolks chopped and sprinkled on top.  I've included the recipe at the bottom of the post!

After brunch we headed out to take some family pictures!

I wanted to give you all a little sightseeing tour of the island.  I've included just a few highlights but there is so much more to see!

The Chapel is pictured below.  It has beautiful views of the marsh inside!

I wore this red bathing suit to the pool.  After that, I will never wear it again because every time I moved, something showed that I wasn't interested in showing.  It is very cute as long as you don't have to move!

I made a fabulous grilled salmon with a dijon mustard vinaigrette for dinner on Saturday night.  It was just a spur of the moment recipe, but I will definitely be making it again!
