There are so many things that I could talk about as being my favorites but I've narrowed it down to just a few!  

I came up with this recipe for Chicken and Vegetable Pasta the other night and it was so delicious!  This is a very versatile dish because you can use whatever veggies you have on hand and it would also be great with shrimp or salmon or just with the veggies for a meatless version!  Keep scrolling down for the recipe!

I have really been enjoying a glass of French Rose in the afternoons!  Rose feels like a summer wine to me although I know that is is perfect all year round because it complements most any food!

All of the products pictured below were purchased on Bald Head, including the beautiful stemless wine glass from Room Service, one of my favorite shops on the island!  

I purchased the Sea and Dune Bath Soap from Lafco at Room Service.  This soap contains only natural ingredients with no sulfates or dyes.  It is such a great scent for summer and they also have a candle in this scent so I might just have to go back and get one!  This shop offers home decor, books jewelry and more!  It's a great place to go if you're looking for a gift! 

The Unwined candle from Unwind Candle Company came from Bald Head Blues has a nice clean scent!  I've been burning it in the evenings and it makes the house smell great!  You'll love this little shop for their selection of their own Bald Head Blues brand!  They also carry jewelry and gifts.

After Sun Soothing Aloe Spray from Herbivore and the Aveda Be Curly came from Island Retreat Spa.  If you've been following me on the blog, you know that I usually straighten my hair, but at Bald Head it's just not possible because it's so humid that it wouldn't stay and would turn into a frizzy mess!  The Be Curly serum is great because it holds my curl and keeps my hair from being frizzy! The Island Retreat offers massage, facials, manicures, pedicures and so many great products to take care of your summer skin! 

I cannot say enough about the After Sun Spray!  It smells great and is so soothing and cooling after being out in the sun all day!  I just bought it this afternoon and put it in the refrigerator so that tomorrow when we get back from the beach it will be cool and refreshing for spraying on after showers!  The After Sun Spray also came from Island Retreat Spa.

I also have to mention this great sun hat!  I have trouble finding hats that look good on me and I think this one is perfect!  I found it at Island Passage and it was only 22.00!

Brunch is one of my favorite ways to entertain!  I love a meal that is relaxing and includes Mimosas and Bloody Mary's!  Let's Do Brunch cookbook by Brigit Binns has wonderful recipes for every palate such as Avocado, Bacon, and Tomato Tartines and Jam Filled Sweet Crepes!  You can't go wrong with this cookbook and I can't wait to try some of the recipes and share them on the blog!

We got dressed to meet a friend for a glass of wine at Mojo's and took some pictures on the porch.  Sarah, of course is wearing a Lilly Pulitzer top and shorts and Rebecca is wearing a romper from American Eagle.  I'm wearing an Amanda Uprichard romper that I purchased at Mynt in Durham North Carolina.  It's great for dressing up or wearing during the day as a casual outfit!  You will certainly see it again on the blog!

We obviously haven't had a photographer this week but the bartender at Mojo's took a pretty good picture of the three of us!

Eating outside on this deck is definitely one of my favorite things!

I saw this parasailer on the beach and decided to put parasailing lessons on my bucket list!  It looks like so much fun!

My version of a Slim Aarons photo!  This is about as crowded as the beach gets on Bald Head and that is one of the reasons that we love it here so much!

I made fruit smoothies for breakfast!  Yogurt, frozen strawberries and peaches, bananas, honey and orange juice...delicious and healthy!
