Crazy Blonde Life

THE WEEKEND

On Saturday Mr. Crazy Blonde and I went to Chapel Hill for the Spring football game.  As you can see it was a very beautiful day!  The temperature was perfect and we had a great time!  The game was short compared to most football games so we had time to shop a little and of course have some wine and dinner!

The view from our seats in the stadium is beautiful.  The Bell Tower is in the background in the picture below.

It did get a little hot because we were directly in the sun, so I came in to cool off  several times!  I am wearing my new necklace from Lush Jewelry again!  It goes with everything!

This is Mr. Crazy Blonde's idea of shopping.  We went to Uniquities, a boutique on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, and they immediately gave him a beer when we walked in!

I found these adorable booties by Seychelles.  One more pair to add to the collection!

After a little shopping we headed to Kipos, a Greek restaurant right across the street from Uniquities.  I had a glass of Rose and Mr. had some sort of martini concoction.

I love the casual decor in Kipos.  The food on the menu is rustic Greek food, much of which is cooked in a wood burning oven.  The wine list and the beer are Greek as well and they have a bakery serving Greek pastries.  I highly recommend Olga's famous walnut baklava!   We didn't eat at Kipos this time, but the Octopus Salad is fabulous.

I took this pictures of the owner, cooking in the open kitchen.  You can see everything being prepared!

This cute waiter wanted his picture made!  How could I say no?

After leaving Kipos and walking around for a little while, we ended up at Elaine's on Franklin for dinner.  We sat at the bar because they were already quite full because of the football game.  Mr. Crazy Blonde has finally admitted that he needs glasses to see the menu!

Elaine's has been a favorite of ours for years!

Once again, I forgot to take pictures of our food, but I did get one of the Pineapple Upside Down Cake that we had for dessert!
