A PERFECT DAY FOR A WEDDING

My good friend Jill got married this past weekend.  Jill is a massage therapist, yogi, a talented singer, an expert on essential oils and an all around great person!  I was so flattered when she asked me to cater her wedding!  I haven't done much catering in the past 10 years and I was a little nervous, but definitely up for the challenge!  Jill shared with me that she and Tony (her fiance at the time) were going to Paris for their honeymoon, so I decided to create a menu with a French theme.  The wedding was small, only 50 people were expected to attend and the reception was to be held from 5:00 to 6:30 pm so the food needed to be somewhat light.  I started preparation early in the week and finished up everything on Friday and Saturday morning.  It was a beautiful ceremony and a very lovely day for a wedding and now they are off to Paris!  I can't imagine a better place to be in love!

The preparations were mostly done ahead, but I had to reheat some things before the reception started.

Even though the menu had a French flair, I had to make some Southern cheese wafers!

The wedding cake was made by Brittany Brown of Baked by Britt.  It was truly one of the most amazing wedding cakes I've ever tasted and it was beautiful!
