A VERY SPECIAL VALENTINE'S BRUNCH

Going out on Valentine's Day has never been something that I wanted to do.  Restaurants are crowded and have limited menus and it's just not so much fun.  Our family has always had dinner together with a few fun gifts, champagne and something decadent for dessert.  This year, since Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday, we decided to have brunch.  I made some special dishes and a few traditional favorites along with mimosas.  We all ate too much, watched basketball and had a really nice afternoon.  We missed Rebecca, but we will see her in Savannah next weekend, so look forward to seeing my posts about Savannah soon!

Special Valentine's Day Brunch Menu

Country Fritatta with Sausage, Potatoes and Cheddar Cheese

Cheesy Grits

Baked Eggs with Tomatoes, Herbs and Cream

Strawberries and Raspberries with Homemade Lemon Curd

Piemonte Goat Cheese with Cherries and Chocolate served with Gingersnaps

Mimosas

Sarah was very helpful with the Prosecco!  I served strawberries and raspberries in martini glasses, topped with my Homemade Lemon Curd.

Gluten-free Raspberry Muffins were delicious!

I used rose petals to decorate the mimosa tray.  My beautiful Valentine's Day flowers from Garrick decorated the buffet.

This goat cheese from Piemonte Farm was a special treat - made with cherry preserve and dark chocolate!  Very decadent!

I wonder how many pictures we have taken of Hudson in his 5 months of life!  Too many to count!

It was so cold outside today but I still wanted to wear my new Rebecca Minkoff Blouse.  I wore it with my L'Agence black skinvny jeans, and as you will see below, my Red Rockstud Valentino Shoes!  Lauren's pink sweater is J. Crew and Sarah's skirt is Vinyard Vines (no longer available).
