CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK!
By now all of you know that I just returned from a trip to New York City! New York is such an exciting and inspirational city and December is in full swing there! Everything is decorated to the hilt and I definitely came home ready to decorate our home with some of the ideas I got in NYC! We had wonderful weather, it was just cool enough to feel like winter, but not so cold that we were uncomfortable walking around! We also had wonderful food! Here are some pictures to make you feel festive and keep you in the Holiday Spirit!
In my opinion, Ralph Lauren on Madison Avenue is one of the most beautiful stores in New York! I just never wanted to leave!
Laduree has by far the best and most delicious macarons!
The world famous Union Square Greenmarket! You can choose anything from Christmas Trees to award winning cheeses, to wine and maple syrup and so much more!
The Gramercy Tavern was opened in 1994 by restaurateur Danny Meyer. Chef Michael Anthony prepares beautiful dishes that showcase food from local farms. Our food was delicious and the service was beyond perfect. I completely forgot to take pictures once the main course arrived, but I did get a few pictures of the bread (how beautiful is that butter) and dessert. Dessert was the most beautifully deconstructed pear shortcake! The flowers are from Roberta Bendavid and are spectacular!
ABC Home is one of my favorite stores! I have included their mission statement below because I think it really speaks to the reason that I love ABC so much. They have definitely achieved the goals that are set out in the mission statement. It is the best place to find thoughtful, beautiful, one of a kind gifts! If you decide to visit the store, just be sure to have plenty of time (an afternoon) to see everything! It is truly an experience not to be missed!
The Bedford Cheese Shop is located in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan. It is an amazing store that features a 15-foot cheese case! They have every kind of cheese you can possibly imagine and the staff is very knowledgeable about all of them. They are happy to give samples and really want to educate their customers about cheese! If you love cheese, this is the place to go!
The Windows at Bergdorf Goodman are the best windows I've ever seen. Don't miss them if you are in New York City this holiday season. They are truly Magical!
No trip to New York is complete without lunch at Bergdorf Goodman on the 7th floor!
We had dinner one night at the Blue Water Grill! It's a little hard to see in the picture, but we sat upstairs and had a beautiful view of the whole restaurant. We had champagne and I had a little surprise from Mr. Crazyblonde!
Having drinks at Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle is a tradition! I had to have my picture made with the piano player! He was wonderful!
There were so many people at the bar that it was hard to get a picture of the famous mural so I have included one here!
I hope you've enjoyed my pictures and memories of a wonderful trip to New York!
