FUND RAISER FOR THE BLACK AND WHITE BALL
Last night I attended a fund raiser in my honor! Every year the Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation has a fund raiser called the Black and White Ball for one of two important funds at the Alamance Regional Medical Center, The C.R. Byrd Fund and The Patricia Bynum Fund. This year the fund raiser is for the Patricia Bynum Fund. This fund helps less fortunate cancer patients who are not able to pay their day to day expenses such as rent, child care, etc. Five Belles are selected to compete and see who can raise the most money for this very worthy cause. The Belle who raises the most money is the "Belle of the Ball". The Black and White Ball will be held on October 3 this year and should prove to be a great night! I know that between the five of us we will raise a lot of money and also have a lot of fun!
I wanted to share some of the pictures from the party last night.
Britt Stadler was kind enough to open her beautiful home.
Below are the silent auction items. The items included a colorful turtle painting by my daughter Rebecca Smith, a beautiful still life painting by Laine Francis, a Kate Spade Handbag, and several other great items.
There were also great raffle items generously donated by local businesses such as Cork and Cow Wine Bar and Rebecca and Co. Boutique. The invitations for the party were generously donated by Juliepatouli's.
The food was amazing and beautifully presented!
My famous pimento cheese. It wouldn't be a southern party without pimento cheese!
Below are some of the guests having fun and posing for pictures. The first picture is myself with my daughter Rebecca.
A great big THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night to support the Patricia Bynum Fund and to Britt Stadler who worked so hard to put on this very wonderful event. It was a fun night for a worthy cause. If you would like to donate to the Patricia Bynum Fund you can do so at www.armcblackandwhiteball.myevent.com!
