BLOWING ROCK NORTH CAROLINA

I spent a fabulous day in Blowing Rock North Carolina on Wednesday

Obviously the first stop was lunch!  We ate at a quaint little restaurant that was nestled into the street!  Walking down the path to get to the restaurant was like walking into fairyland!  Who doesn't like fairyland?

I had the crab and corn bisque (sorry it looked so good that I forgot to take a picture) and the spinach salad with molasses grilled spinach salad (very Southern)!

This is a cute little building that the restaurant uses as a waitress station!  The whole thing was very charming!

After lunch...what else but shopping!

The Monkee's in Blowing Rock is one of the best ones anywhere!  It is huge and they have a great selection of Tory Burch shoes.

I thought this was a very cute outfit!  But I was trying not to spend too much money...so I didn't get it!

After that we went to Windwood Antiques for a little inspiration.  There were so many things I wanted, I really could furnish another house if I just had one!

How fabulous is this horse?!

The next shop was called Celeste's.

I really wanted everything, but especially this life sized Buddha!

These necklaces were made in Belize and adorned the Buddha!

The chandelier in this photo is hard to see, but it's rustic and sparkly all at the same time! You should really plan a trip to Blowing Rock and check it out for yourself!

I ended up buying this outfit for my soon to be grandson Hudson (shhh!  it's a surprise)

If you need to beat the summer heat, I highly recommend the mountains of North Carolina!  It was a full 10 degrees cooler and sooo pleasant.

HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!!!  REMEMBER TO MAKE THE MOST OF EVERYDAY!!!
