A DAY AT FEARINGTON VILLAGE

Today I spent the day with my friend Britt exploring Fearington Village. We visited Dovecote, a beautiful boutique offering apparel and gifts and also McIntyre Books.  McIntyre Books is an independent bookstore with a large selection of books.  I could have stayed for hours browsing!!  While we didn't have time to visit the Spa at Fearington, it is definitely on the list for next time.  We had a wonderful alfresco lunch at The Goat.  The Goat is a coffee and wine shop that also sells gourmet salads, sandwiches, gelato and deserts.  The other restaurants located at Fearington Village include The Granary (only opened Wednesday thru Saturday), Roost Bee Garden, and The Fearington House Restaurant.  The Fearington House Restaurant is located inside of the Fearington House Inn.  The Inn is a top rated small hotel with just 32 guest rooms.  The restaurant is a AAA Five Diamond restaurant that is also a Certified Green Restaurant serving farm to table cuisine.  It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and I definitely want to go back for a weekend to experience all that Fearington Village has to offer!

After we left Fearington Village we headed to Meadowmont Village and visited Monkee's and South Fine Gifts!  I didn't leave there empty handed!!

This painting is definitely on my wish list!
