I think I should call this post…the jeans I’ve had forever, the shoes I own in three colors, a new brand crush and an Amazon bag that looks expensive. That really about sums it up.
But…let’s start with the chocolate brown floral top that was gifted from a brand called Alden Adair. I honestly had not heard of this brand, but when I saw the look book they sent over I was very impressed. In case you hadn’t noticed, chocolate brown is having a moment and I absolutely love the chocolate brown floral design of this top. I also love the slightly cropped length and the detail on the front and sleeves…it has a very feminine feel and goes perfectly with my ecru jeans from Mother. I have literally had these jeans for ten years and still reach for them often. The length is great with heels or flats and they are a mid rise (similar here).
I have often said that I wonder just how many bags you need to have in order to have a bag that goes with everything and that’s where Amazon sometimes works really well. If I’m going to splurge on a bag, I want it to be a keep forever bag, or else I’ll just get one that will “do”, until I can have what I want. This top called for either a chartreuse bag of some sort or a chocolate brown that matched the flowers in the top and I didn’t feel like any of mine were quite right so I pulled out this little brown bag from Amazon and it works just fine and looks much more expensive than it was. I couldn’t find my exact bag, but this one is similar.
And the shoes…my first pair of the Larroude Dolly platform sandals was metallic silver. I still own them and wear them often. Then this past summer, I purchased a raffia pair and wore them nonstop. They were the perfect summer sandals for anytime I wanted to feel dressed up a bit. I threw them on with jeans dresses and even Bermuda shorts. When fall came around this year, I was looking for a pair of chocolate brown sandals in just the right color and spotted the ones I’m wearing here. They are the color of the season, so comfortable and crazy cute. Larroude makes great quality shoes that are reasonably priced and so wearable. This pair probably won’t be my last and I have a theory…when something is this good, buy it in multiples!

Apparently, ten-year-old jeans still have plenty of places to go…especially when you introduce them to a pretty new top and a good pair of shoes! I love finding something new, but there’s a certain satisfaction in knowing the old favorites can still hold their own. Now, if I can just resist checking to see what other colors those sandals come in!
Thanks so much for reading today!
~XOXO Suzanne
