An Irresistible Hotel and Time With My Daughters

Noelle Hotel Nashville, April 2018

In my life, the most fulfilling thing I've ever done and continue to do is be a mother.  I look forward to time with my daughters and the memories we make more than anything else.  We all live far apart now and sharing everyday activities isn't possible anymore.  I didn't realize how much I took for granted those times when my daughters were living at home and how precious it was to prepare meals and drive them to their riding lessons and soccer games.  There are days when I would give anything for the door to open and hear one of them shout "Hi Mom"!  The reality is that I have independent, smart and beautiful girls who have chosen to live their lives on their own terms and I'm so proud of them for that!

Fast forward to now...so I'll stop crying!  I am fortunate to be able to travel to visit all of them and last week, Rebecca travelled from Boston and we met Sarah in Nashville!  We are all so busy, and when we travel, it gives us a chance to slow down, shop (of course), have meals together and just enjoy each other's company!

Walking around Nashville

Blogging is not a 9 - 5 job (more like 24/7), so it's nice when I can incorporate blogging into something that's fun for everyone when we travel.  I fell in love with the Noelle hotel while we were in Nashville and asked for a tour so that we could see more of the beautiful building and I could blog about it. Our guide for the day couldn't have been nicer!  He took us to the penthouse, the rooftop bar (before it opened for the day) and to the beautiful ballroom.  We loved seeing the views of the city from the penthouse and the rooftop bar and had so much fun taking these pictures.  This is the first of several posts that I'll do, but I wanted to share the hotel with you all.  The hotel, in spite of the grandness of some of the public rooms, has a definite minimalist vibe which is so appealing!  I love the look of a historic building filled with cool hip furniture.  If you're going to Nashville...this is THE place to stay!

The penthouse included two king bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting area, separate dining area, wet bar and two huge closets all surrounded by floor to ceiling windows.  I'm trying to figure out how to make that happen next time we're in Nashville!  The only problem would be that I wouldn't want to leave the room!

Rare Bird rooftop bar is the perfect spot to relax after a day of touring and shopping in Nashville.  It's a beautiful setting with amazing views of the city and the cocktails aren't bad either!

The views were truly breathtaking and even though we missed the sunset, I'm sure it's spectacular!

Drug Store Coffee at Noelle Nashville

While we were staying in Nashville, I started every morning with an almond milk latte with honey from Drug Store Coffee (pictured above).  I loved sitting in the lobby with Rebecca every morning while we sipped our coffee and did a little people watching...downtown Nashville is a great place for that!

These fabulous windows were in the ballroom (that's what I'm calling it) in the Noelle.  It would be such an exquisite space to hold a wedding reception or party, but we loved just sitting in the window!  You can see the grand scale of the room because we look so small!

Here are a few similar pieces to the ones we're wearing in this post!

I'm off to continue my birthday celebration by having lunch with my friend Britt and then later today, Lauren, Hudson and Chris are coming in for the weekend and more celebrating!  I can't wait to share pictures of Hudson...he's gotten so big!

Thanks so much to Destiny Keller for taking these amazing pictures!
